Lasbela, Sep. 12: On the instructions of Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti and at the request of Parliamentary Secretary for Law Nawabzada Zareen Khan Magsi, the Relief Commissioner of Balochistan has launched relief activities for rain-affected people.

Director General of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan, Jehanzaib Khan Ghorezai, along with Deputy Commissioner Lasbela Humaira Baloch, visited the remote tehsil of Kanraj on Friday. They were accompanied by Additional DC General Siraj Kareem Baloch, XEN Irrigation Abdul Zahir Mengal, XEN Communication & Works Roads Arshad Zehri, and other officials.

During the visit, DG PDMA distributed tents and other essential supplies among families displaced by torrential rains in Hasan Goth. He also directed revenue teams to immediately conduct surveys in rain-affected areas to assess damages.

DC Humaira Baloch briefed the Relief Commissioner on the situation in Lasbela. The Relief Commissioner announced the immediate start of relief operations across the district, including the provision of ration, food items, and tents for Kanraj and other affected areas.

He further instructed revenue teams to finalize damage assessment reports at the earliest so that compensation could be provided to the victims.

The Relief Commissioner said the Government of Balochistan is committed to utilizing all available resources for the rehabilitation of rain and flood victims. He added that the Chief Minister is being kept informed of the relief efforts and the evolving situation across the province. Appreciating the timely actions of the Lasbela district administration, he assured that every possible support would be extended to ensure effective relief and rehabilitation for the affected families.
