MIRPUR MATHELO : Deputy Commissioner/District Returning Officer Ghotki Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani has said that 9 polling stations of Union Council Wahi Ghoto are highly sensitive, candidates should follow the code of conduct, action will be taken in case of violation.
According to details, a meeting was held in his office under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner/District Returning Officer Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani regarding the by-election of the Chairman in Union Council Wahi Ghoto. The meeting was attended by District Election Commissioner Pervaiz Ahmed Kalhoro, Assistant Commissioner/ Returning Officer Dr. Rana Haseeb Ahmed, District Monitoring Officer Majid Hameed, Mukhtiarkar ( revenue)/ Assistant Returning Officer Jamil Ahmed Khoso and candidates participating in the elections of Union Council Wahi Ghoto. On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner/DRO said that all 9 polling stations of Union Council Wahi Ghoto have been declared highly sensitive and CCTV cameras will be installed on them. Candidates should fully follow the code of conduct of the Election Commission, otherwise action will be taken against them as per the law. On this occasion, District Election Commissioner Pervaiz Ahmed Kalhoro said that all arrangements have been completed for the by-election of the chairman in Union Council Wahi Ghoto on September 24.
34 personnel, including 4 lady police personnel, have been deployed by the SSP at each polling station. No public office holder can run an election campaign, display of weapons, wearing of Pina Flex and holding rallies are prohibited, while corner meetings are allowed till 12 midnight on September 22 in connection with the election campaign. He made it clear to the candidates that any candidate who violates the code of conduct may be disqualified, so all candidates should fully follow the code of conduct of the Election Commission and also instruct their workers so that the elections can be held in a peaceful environment,
