Quetta, Sep. 11, —
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has said that the peace jirga recently held in Sibi is part of a broader series of jirgas being organized across all divisions of the province with the aim of listening to every segment of society and devising a joint strategy for resolving public issues.
In a message on the social media platform X, the Chief Minister emphasized that these jirgas are helping reduce the gap between the people and the state, which is not only contributing to improved law and order but also accelerating the pace of development.
Bugti acknowledged that challenges built up over decades cannot be eliminated through a few jirgas alone; however, the ongoing process is laying a solid foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and developed Balochistan.
He further stated that these jirgas ensure representation from all sections of society, particularly tribal elders, women, and youth, enabling them to voice their opinions and play a constructive role in promoting lasting peace, harmony, and progress.
Reaffirming his government’s commitment, the Chief Minister said that the provincial government, with active public participation, will utilize all available resources to transform Balochistan into a peaceful, prosperous, and developed province.
