MIRPUR MATHELO – Assistant Commissioner Mirpur Mathelo, Dr. Rana Haseeb Ahmad, conducted surprise inspections at two well-known local eateries—Grey Tonight and Zaiqa Restaurant—and imposed fines totaling Rs. 55,000 for keeping expired and unhygienic food items.
During the raid, expired and unhealthy food products were recovered, which were immediately disposed of on the spot under official orders. A fine of Rs. 35,000 was imposed on Grey Tonight Hotel, while Zaiqa Restaurant was fined Rs. 20,000.
Assistant Commissioner Dr. Rana Haseeb Ahmad, while speaking on the occasion, said that strict action is being taken under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ghotki against the sale of substandard and harmful food products. He emphasized that no one will be allowed to compromise public health by selling expired or unsafe food and beverages.
