LARKANA, Sept 11: Under the leadership of DIGP Larkana Range, Mr. Nasir Aftab, police in the Larkana Range achieved significant results during the month of August, dismantling criminal networks, seizing large quantities of narcotics and illegal weapons, and rescuing abductees.

According to the official performance report, police carried out 200 encounters, arresting 35 criminals in injured condition, killing 10 hardened dacoits, and busting 31 gangs. A total of 1,250 accused persons were arrested, including 675 proclaimed offenders, 440 absconders, and 133 other criminals.

Narcotics & Weapons Recovery

95 grams of ice, 145 kg of charas, 613 kg of bhang, 561 liters of liquor, and 3,916 packets of gutka were seized.

The crackdown also resulted in the recovery of 5 Kalashnikovs, 1 G-3 rifle, 120 other rifles, pistols, revolvers and shotguns, along with a heavy cache of ammunition.

Kidnapping & Other Crimes

Police successfully foiled 7 kidnapping attempts and safely recovered 14 abducted individuals.

Numerous cases of dacoity and theft were traced, with recovery of cars, motorcycles, tractors, mobile phones, smuggled Iranian diesel, looted cash, and gold ornaments.

Accused involved in murders over property disputes, family feuds and personal enmities were also arrested and produced before courts.

Meanwhile, the Complaint and Inquiry Cells established at the Larkana Range Office, under senior officers’ supervision, addressed hundreds of public grievances during the same period.
