Usta Mohammad, September 11: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders of Nasirabad Division, including Divisional General Secretary Syed Bilawal Shah, Provincial Deputy General Secretary Ali Bakhsh Noon, PTI leader Mir Muhammad Yousaf Khan Rind, District President Usta Mohammad Abdul Jabbar Hajwani, and others held a press conference condemning the provincial government’s actions against protesters.

They recalled that on September 2, a blast at a BNP rally on Sariab Road, Quetta, claimed the lives of over 20 workers and injured around 50. Following this, BNP-Mengal announced a province-wide protest on September 6.

The PTI leaders said that instead of respecting the right to peaceful protest, the provincial government resorted to baton-charging demonstrators, which they termed as a violation of human rights, freedom of expression, and democratic values.

They stressed that peaceful protest is a constitutional right of every citizen, but the Balochistan government is trying to suppress it. PTI leaders demanded immediate action against those responsible for the incident, warning that the worsening law and order situation has left citizens and traders unsafe. They said the government, instead of providing protection, is using force against political workers, which is unacceptable.
