Islamabad, Sep. 8, : The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has carried out a nationwide crackdown on drug traffickers, arresting 8 suspects and recovering 239 kilograms of narcotics worth over PKR 4.22 crore in a series of coordinated operations.

Operations Near Educational Institutions

In Haripur, near a university on Hattar Road, 400 grams of hashish were recovered from a suspect who admitted to supplying drugs to students.

Domestic Drug Seizures Across Major Cities

Peshawar (GT Road): 46.8 kgs opium, 26.4 kgs hashish, 2 kgs ice, and 1 kg heroin recovered from a vehicle; suspect arrested.

Islamabad (Golra Turn): 7.2 kgs hashish seized from a vehicle; three suspects apprehended.

Islamabad (Faizabad): 2.4 kgs hashish recovered from a suspect.

Lahore (Niazi Terminal): 13.2 kgs hashish and 2.4 kgs ice seized from a motorcyclist.

Sheikhupura (Green Valley): 13.2 kgs opium, 3.6 kgs hashish, 280 grams ice, and 1 kg heroin recovered from a motorcyclist.

Chagai (Nokandi): 120 kgs opium recovered from hidden land storage.

All cases have been registered under the CNS Act, and further investigations are underway. The ANF reiterated its commitment to preventing drug trafficking and safeguarding communities and educational institutions.
