Thatta Police carried out a successful raid and foiled an attempt to supply Indian gutka and raw gutka material through two vehicles. The operation resulted in the arrest of three accused and the recovery of a huge consignment of gutka products.
According to details, the action was taken at Sheikh Ismail Charhai following a tip-off. The raid was supervised by SHO Jherruck Police Station Inspector Bhadhar Khan Jamali on the directives of SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bijarani, in line with the instructions of IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Dharejo.

300 sachets of gutka mawa recovered from Mehran (No. ARX-762)1. Habibullah son of Abdullah Lashari
2. Muhammad Azam son of Muhammad Ashraf Lashari, residents of Lyari, Karachi
3. Sardar Ali son of Ghulam Muhammad Kareero, resident of Jamshoro District
Both vehicles were seized and separate FIRs were registered under the Gutka Act at Jherruck Police Station.
SSP Thatta Farooq Ahmed Bijarani reaffirmed that the district-wide crackdown against gutka mafias, narcotics dealers, habitual offenders, and other criminal networks will continue with full force.
