Nasirabad, Sep.07 (Report by Chhatha Khan Umarani):
Syed Gul Shah, District President of Balochistan National Party (Awami) in Nasirabad, strongly condemned the police raid on the house of Waja Mir Asadullah Khan Baloch during a press conference at Dera Murad Jamali Press Club. He stated that the raid violated the sanctity of the home and caused significant mental distress to the political leader.
Gul Shah criticized what he described as non-democratic practices under the guise of democracy, which he said have undermined public mandate and created uncertainty and mistrust in society. “Instead of respecting the constitution and rule of law, decisions are often made through force, weakening parliamentary authority and curbing media freedom,” he added.
The press conference was attended by leaders including General Secretary Zakir Ali Rand, Javed Ali Rand, Nadir Chishti, Abdul Shakoor Bhargari, Muhammad Ishaq Abro, Muhammad Aslam, Abdus Salam Kasi, Abdul Malik Bugti, Muhammad Sharif Lehi, Barkat Ali Solangi, among others, who expressed solidarity and said targeting political leaders in the current environment is unacceptable.
Gul Shah further stated that the two-year withholding of constituency development funds has created hardships for residents, halted development projects, and left basic issues unresolved. He warned that continued retaliatory actions will further erode public confidence and stressed that solutions lie in constitutional adherence, respect for public opinion, and dialogue.
The BNP (Awami) called for an end to retaliatory actions, withdrawal of baseless FIRs against political leaders and activists, restoration of public funds, and the protection of citizens’ rights to ensure peace, development, and prosperity in Balochistan.
