Gilgit-Baltistan celebrated Eid Milad-un-Nabi and Pakistan Defence Day with devotion and patriotic fervor across all districts, including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Shigar, Ghizer, Diamer, Ghanche, Astor, and Kharmang. Events featured naat recitations, Seerat conferences, flag hoisting, processions, and speeches, attracting large public and student participation.
The central ceremony at Government Boys Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Higher Secondary School, Gilgit, was attended by Chief Minister’s Coordinator Sheikh Nasir Zamani, religious scholar Maulana Khalil Qasmi, Director General Schools Faizullah Lone, education officials, teachers, and students. Speakers highlighted that following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) brings success in this world and the hereafter, while Defence Day reminds citizens of the sacrifices made by Pakistan’s armed forces for the homeland.
In Skardu, officials including DIG Baltistan, Deputy Commissioner, and SSP, hoisted the national flag at the Martyrs’ Monument, laying floral tributes and offering prayers for Pakistan’s security. Similar ceremonies took place across other districts, with students performing naats, patriotic songs, and speeches, paying tribute to the nation’s defenders and emphasizing unity, sacrifice, and love for the homeland.
The celebrations reinforced the values of brotherhood, patriotism, and devotion, inspiring youth and citizens alike to uphold the legacy of the Prophet (PBUH) and the courageous martyrs of Pakistan.
