Islamabad – Pakistan is observing Defence Day 2025 with great national spirit, remembering the martyrs of September 6, 1965, and saluting the courage of the armed forces who defended the country against enemy aggression.
Across the country, ceremonies are being held in federal and provincial capitals. Special prayers were offered in mosques for the elevation of the ranks of martyrs and for the peace, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan.
On this day in 1965, the Pakistan Army bravely repelled Indian forces and protected the nation’s sovereignty with unmatched courage. Many soldiers embraced martyrdom, leaving behind a proud legacy of sacrifice and resilience.
Defence Day reminds the nation that Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity are non-negotiable, and the entire country stands united to safeguard its frontiers at all costs.
