Independent Report.
Islamabad, Sep.6 — Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation & Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, while addressing the 50th International Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference in Islamabad, said that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) offers complete guidance for all aspects of human life, including social, moral, and ethical reforms.

The Minister emphasized that the Prophet (PBUH) gave humanity a universal message of justice, brotherhood, education, research, and ethics. He noted that in today’s digital era, while social media has become a major tool for learning and connectivity, it is also increasingly being misused as an instrument of division and misinformation. “The only way to counter such challenges is through the guiding light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH),” he remarked.

Citing the Qur’an and Hadith, the Minister underlined that Islam stresses truth, verification, and caution, while strictly prohibiting lies, slander, and character assassination. He said these principles have become even more relevant in the digital age.

He warned that spreading fake news, promoting sectarian hatred, defaming individuals, and insulting sacred personalities on social media are not only against the teachings of Islam but are also punishable under Pakistan’s laws. He urged the youth, scholars, and civil society to promote tolerance, responsibility, and research-based dialogue to ensure unity and harmony in society.

The conference was attended by dignitaries from Egypt, Bangladesh, Palestine, and other countries, along with prominent scholars, diplomats, and religious leaders.

Concluding the event, Minister Shah distributed awards and certificates among winners of various competitions, and prayed for Pakistan’s progress, unity, and prosperity in the light of the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH).
