Dera Bugti, Sep: 6 The ninth death anniversary of Mir Ghulam Qadir Bugti, widely known as the “Baba-e-Jamhuriyat of Dera Bugti,” was observed with deep respect as a large number of people and tribal elders gathered to honor his legacy.
Speakers paid glowing tribute, calling him a symbol of courage, dignity, and freedom who rejected personal gain and tribal prejudice. They said he stood firm against oppression, laid the foundations of democracy in Dera Bugti, and fought for peace by ending the decades-long Bugti–Mazari conflict.
They noted that his mission is being carried forward by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti through education, healthcare, and development projects that are reshaping the future of Dera Bugti.
The speakers emphasized that Mir Ghulam Qadir Bugti’s lifelong struggle remains a guiding light for democracy, peace, and national unity.
