Karachi, September 4, 2025 – Federal Railway Minister Hanif Abbasi, during his three-day official visit to Karachi, has announced a major upgrade of Karachi Cantt Railway Station, similar to Lahore Railway Station. The minister stated that improvement projects for Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Rohri railway stations are also under consideration.
He emphasized that the PML-N government’s Green Line project is a significant achievement for the city. He added that the modernization of the railway will provide better facilities and an improved travel experience for millions of citizens.
During his visit, Minister Abbasi toured the city’s railway network and Cantt Station to assess the current situation. Railway officials briefed him on the proposed development plan and upcoming construction activities.
