Commissioner Hazara Division, Mr. Fayaz Ali Shah, chaired a meeting to review the progress and targets achieved on the second day of the ongoing anti-polio campaign in District Mansehra.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mansehra, District Health Officer, representatives from the Education Department, Police Department, and other officials from the Health Department.
During the meeting, the Polio Focal Person briefed the Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and other participants in detail about the targets accomplished on the second day of the campaign.
The Commissioner appreciated the collective efforts of all departments, stressing that success in the polio campaign requires teamwork. He expressed confidence that the ongoing awareness drive has significantly reduced the number of vaccine-refusing parents, and if this momentum continues, not only District Mansehra but the entire country will soon be polio-free.
He further emphasized the importance of addressing the doubt send and concerns of refusing parents with reason and clarity, ensuring that no child is left unprotected from the vaccine.
For the success of the campaign in District Mansehra, 1,681 polio teams have been deployed to vaccinate more than 326,503 children through door-to-door visits. To ensure effective monitoring, 357 area supervisors have been appointed, while 1,993 police personnel have been deployed to provide security to the vaccination teams
