Lahore03 September 2025…Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that we should go beyond politics and help the flood victims. It is very important to provide relief goods in the affected areas. He expressed these views while talking to the family whose daughters’ dowry was washed away in the flood in the private housing society Mohlanwal today. The Governor Punjab also took responsibility for the marriage of nine girls of the flood-affected family.
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan said that heavy rains and floods are wreaking havoc across Punjab, which has severely affected millions of people. He expressed deep distress at the plight of flood affectees. The Punjab Governor said that people’s homes were submerged in floodwaters, while valuables were washed away and people were forced to take shelter in cemeteries. He said that all his energies were focused on the rehabilitation of the flood victims. The Punjab Governor said that three meals a day will be provided to the flood-affected families in the relief camp. He said that medical camps will be set up by the Punjab Red Crescent and all possible help will be provided to the victims in this difficult time. The Punjab Governor further said that this is not the time for any kind of politics, we should go beyond politics and help the flood victims. He said that tents will be provided to the flood victims in a private housing society in Mohlanwal. The residents of the area asked the Punjab Governor to help them. They said that no one has reached for help and no government assistance has been received so far.

In addition, President Asif Ali Zardari contacted Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan on the telephone. The Punjab Governor briefed the President on the flood situation in Punjab. The Punjab Governor said that the flood has wreaked havoc across the province . He said that the Punjab Red Crescent has been mobilized across Punjab for the flood victims. He said that not only food but also medical facilities are being provided to the flood victims in the relief camps of the Punjab Red Crescent. The Punjab Governor further said that a water treatment plant has also been installed by the Punjab Red Crescent in Kartarpur.
