In a daring encounter, Sukkur police clashed with notorious dacoits near TNT Morh in B Section police limits on September 2, 2025. The police team, while on patrol, intercepted the dacoits who were planning to commit a crime. In the ensuing gunfire, two dacoits were injured and apprehended, while their accomplices managed to flee the scene.
The arrested dacoits have been identified as Jam Khan Chachar and Shafeeq Ahmed Chachar, both wanted in multiple cases of snatching, theft, robbery, and police encounters. Two TT pistols and bullets were recovered from the possession of the injured dacoits. They have been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Jam Khan Chachar:* Multiple cases registered against him, including attempted murder, arms act violations, robbery, and abetment.
– Cases registered at PS Baiji Shareef and PS Pano Aqil.
– Cases registered against him include Arms Act violations and serious offenses under PPC.
SSP Sukkur, Azhar Khan, has commended the police team for their bravery and professionalism, announcing rewards and certificates of appreciation. A search operation is currently underway to capture the escaping accomplices.
