Islamabad, 1-Sep-2025 : Islamabad police have apprehended 28 individuals involved in various criminal activities, confiscating a substantial quantity of narcotics and firearms.
Thirteen suspects were detained by teams from multiple police stations across the capital, including Aabpara, Secretariat, Kohsar, Margalla, Shalimar, Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Khanna, Phulgran, and Shahzad Town.
Recovered items include 4,255 grams of heroin, 1,015 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 105 grams of hashish, and three pistols with ammunition. Cases have been filed against the detainees, and investigations are underway.
In a separate operation targeting fugitives and absconders, 15 additional individuals were apprehended. This targeted campaign reflects the directives of Islamabad”s Inspector General of Police (IGP) to maintain peace and order within the city.
The Islamabad Police force remains dedicated to safeguarding residents and their belongings. Disrupting public order will not be tolerated, and maintaining tranquility is paramount. The department urges public cooperation in reporting suspicious behavior through local police stations or the Pucar-15 emergency hotline.
