Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that India wants to destabilise Pakistan by disseminating sectarian violence in the country.
Talking to the media persons on Saturday, the foreign minister said that Pakistan has exposed the negative role of India to the international community by providing irrefutable evidence of Indian-sponsored state terrorism in Pakistan.
About Kashmir, the foreign minister said that Kashmiri youth are being martyred in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by declaring them terrorists. He added that voices are also being raised in the European countries about Indian atrocities in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the debate on Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) earlier in the week in the British parliament has made it clear that “Kashmir is not India’s internal issue.” He said that contrary to India’s portrayal of Kashmir as its internal issue, British parliamentarians have made clear that the issue is in fact a globally recognised dispute.
He termed the development in the UK as “success of Pakistan’s diplomatic approach” and a “source of encouragement for Kashmiris”, expressing confidence that such voices would further expose the “real face of India”.
About the upcoming administration of US President-elect Joe Biden, who is due to take oath on January 20, he said many congressmen are familiar with the region and the atrocities perpetrated against Kashmiris.
“We expect them to raise [their] voice in the US Congress to save the unarmed Kashmiris from Indian tyranny and prolong[ed] military siege,” he said. He added that the Joe Biden administration is also talking about the human right violations being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
