Karachi, 13 September 2025 : Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori announced that Pakistan has formed a Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) to attract foreign investment. Established by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief General Asim Munir, the council intends to capitalize on Sindh’s robust infrastructure and numerous investment opportunities, which Tessori highlighted. He revealed several approved projects available to international companies during a meeting with the Chairman of the China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (CIECC).
The CIECC Chairman explained the corporation’s role in advising the Chinese government regarding the selection of companies for infrastructure and construction endeavors. Following the development of extensive railway networks, highways, and housing in China, CIECC is eager to bring its knowledge, technological advancements, and modern designs to Pakistan.
Governor Tessori highlighted a 24/7 operational unit at Governor House dedicated to supporting businesses and the public. He emphasized the potential for joint ventures through various business structures for national development, particularly in Sindh.
