Bahrain’s Interior Minister, Lieutenant General Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, along with a high level ten members delegation, visited the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters. Director General Anti-Narcotics Force Major General Abdul Moeed Hilal-e- Imtiaz (Military) welcomed the distinguished guests along with senior staff officers. Federal Secretary Interior Captain (Retired) Khurram Agha and Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi were also present on the occasion.

Director General ANF briefed Bahraini Interior Minister about ANF’s operational achievements in combating narcotics, training initiatives, and ongoing demand reduction programs. The worthy guest was apprised that despite limited resources and a small workforce, ANF was playing an effective role not only at the national level but also internationally against the menace of drug trafficking.

Interior Minister of Bahrain appreciated ANF’s professionalism and re-affirmed the commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in domain of drug control. He praised ANF’s recent initiatives among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to combat drug trafficking and assured full cooperation to improve cooperation in the future.

Lieutenant General Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa emphasized the special importance of Bahrain’s relations with Pakistan and stated that Bahrain is keen to further advance cooperation in the areas of training and drug control.
