Kohsar Police Station carried out a successful operation and arrested two members of a notorious gang involved in multiple street robbery incidents. The arrested suspects have been identified as Ali Hanzala and Arsalan.
According to the spokesperson, police recovered snatched cash, 14 expensive mobile phones, a motorcycle used in the crimes, and weapons with ammunition from the possession of the suspects. Several cases had already been registered against them.
During preliminary interrogation, the suspects confessed to committing robberies in the jurisdictions of Kohsar, Shalimar, and Margalla police stations.
Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, stated that all legal requirements will be fulfilled to ensure strict punishment for the accused. He further added that large-scale operations are underway against organized and active criminal gangs to ensure the safety and security of the citizens.
