Bakkar, September 8, 2025: Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti visited the Mir Ghulam Qadir Bugti Hospital in Bakkar, inspecting wards, departments, and the pharmacy. The hospital administration briefed him on the medical services provided to patients.
CM Bugti emphasized the challenges of providing healthcare across Balochistan, which covers 43% of Pakistan’s land, and highlighted the government’s commitment to delivering quality health services at the local level. He noted that improving basic health facilities will ease pressure on tertiary hospitals, reduce costs and difficulties for patients seeking treatment outside the province, and enhance overall public health.
He praised the public-private partnership with Indus Hospital, calling it a practical example of extending healthcare to remote areas.
In a parallel development, CM Bugti inaugurated a road project from Tangwani to Shamol via Konal Dam Phalawagh, costing approximately PKR 150 million. Officials briefed him on the project’s scope and construction progress. The road aims to improve mobility for local communities, boost trade, facilitate timely delivery of agricultural produce, create new jobs, and integrate backward areas into national development.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Balochistan’s development relies on strengthening basic infrastructure and assured that projects will be completed on time, transparently, and with maximum public benefit. He stressed that both healthcare improvements and better connectivity will raise the standard of living and provide essential services to people in remote regions.
