LANDI KOTAL.September 7, 2025 – A grand Naat recitation ceremony was held in Landi Kotal to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi ﷺ and in memory of the renowned Pashto poet, Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari.
The session was presided over by eminent poet Abasin Yousafzai. Guest of honor Asir Mangal and Special Guest, Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Sahibzada Muhammad Adnan Qadri, attended the event.
Assistant Commissioner Landi Kotal Afrasiab Zubair, District Khyber Youth Affairs Officer Sajid Khan, national elders, local representatives, and religious scholars also participated. Renowned poets, including Dr. Kaleem Shinwari, Qandhar Afridi, Asir Mangal, Professor Tawab Shah Masroor, and others, recited Naat poetry, which captivated the audience.
Addressing the ceremony, Minister Qadri highlighted that such events celebrate the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and honor the poetic contributions of Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari, emphasizing that love for the Prophet ﷺ is an integral part of faith.
The event concluded with the minister distributing shields to poets, organizers, and special guests, followed by prayers for the country’s security, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and peace in the region.
