Karachi, Sep 6 — A Change of Guards ceremony was held at Mazar-e-Quaid on Defence Day 2025, where Pakistan Air Force (PAF) cadets took over guard duties to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
A smartly turned-out contingent of 73 cadets, including 7 female cadets, from PAF Academy Asghar Khan assumed responsibility in a display of discipline, precision, and respect for the nation’s founder.
The event began with Quran recitation and special prayers for the martyrs of Pakistan. Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan, Air Officer Commanding, PAF Academy Asghar Khan, attended as Chief Guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said the Pakistan Air Force has transformed into a “Next Generation Air Force” under the leadership of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, ready to defend Pakistan’s aerial frontiers with determination and professionalism.
Later, the Chief Guest laid a floral wreath, offered Fateha, and signed the guest book at the mausoleum, paying homage to the enduring vision of Quaid-e-Azam.
This solemn ceremony not only marked Defence Day but also reaffirmed PAF’s pledge to uphold the legacy of courage, sacrifice, and innovation, while safeguarding the skies of Pakistan.
