Independent Report – Gilgit, Sept 6:
Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) and Pakistan Defence Day were observed across Gilgit-Baltistan with religious devotion and patriotic fervor. Ceremonies, Naat recitals, and school programs were held in all districts including Gilgit, Skardu, Hunza, Ghizer, Shigar, Kharmang, Ghanche, Astore and Diamer.
The main event took place at Government Boys Sir Syed Ahmed Khan Higher Secondary School in Gilgit, where scholars, education officials, teachers and students highlighted the Prophet’s teachings and the sacrifices of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
Across Skardu, Shigar, and Kharmang, officials and citizens offered tributes at Yadgar-e-Shuhada, laid floral wreaths, and prayed for national security. Students presented Naats, national songs, and speeches, underlining the dual importance of religious and national unity.
Participants reaffirmed their resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and work for its progress, with events concluding in prayers for peace and stability.
