Provincial Minister for Social Welfare visits flood-affected areas including Shagai Hindkyan in Peshawar, assures victims of full support.

The present government is taking all necessary measures to compensate for the damages caused by natural disasters. The provincial government is continuously monitoring flood-affected areas and, under an effective relief system, is further accelerating rehabilitation efforts.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Minister for Social Welfare, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, along with Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Captain (R) Sanaullah Khan, paid a detailed visit to Shagai Hindkyan and other flood-affected areas in Peshawar. On this occasion, he thoroughly reviewed the damaged houses, infrastructure, and the difficulties faced by the people, and obtained information regarding ongoing relief and rehabilitation activities.

The purpose of the visit was to take immediate measures for compensating the losses of the flood-affected people. While addressing on the occasion, the provincial minister said that the present government will never leave the flood victims alone. He assured that, along with immediate relief, comprehensive measures will also be taken to compensate their losses. He directed the concerned departments to further speed up the relief and rehabilitation work, stating that the rehabilitation of affected people is the government’s top priority. The provincial minister reaffirmed the commitment that every possible financial assistance and support will be provided to the flood victims.
