Provincial Advisor for the Women Development Department, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, has said that the establishment of the Women Economic Empowerment Endowment Fund marks a major step towards enabling the women of Balochistan to become economically independent and active partners in the province’s sustainable development journey.
Chairing a joint meeting of the Women Development Department and senior banking officials, Dr. Buledi stressed that meaningful progress is not possible without women’s economic participation. She said transparency and merit will remain the top priorities in managing the Fund’s financial operations.
The meeting reviewed in detail the financial framework of the Fund. Banking experts and departmental officers shared recommendations to ensure that the Fund’s resources are utilized in a transparent and effective manner.
Dr. Buledi noted that the Fund will provide financial assistance for small businesses and income-generating activities, enabling women to use their skills and hard work to support their families while also contributing to the social and economic development of the province.
“The provincial government is committed to taking every possible measure for women’s economic empowerment,” she said. “This Fund will open new opportunities for women, making their practical participation in the economy easier and more effective.”
The Provincial Advisor further directed the authorities concerned to put in place a clear mechanism to guarantee transparency, with strong systems of accountability and monitoring at every stage of the Fund’s disbursement. She emphasized that the government’s policy is not limited to the launch of the Fund but aims at providing continuous support for women’s empowerment in practical terms.
Participants from the banking sector and government departments expressed their firm commitment to making the Fund’s management transparent, fair, and people-friendly so that the maximum number of women in Balochistan can benefit from this important initiative.
