MIRPUR MATHELO: Sindh Minister for Agriculture and Focal Person Left Bank Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar has said that data related to the steps taken by the Deputy Commissioner Ghotki in view of the possible flood has been released.
Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar said that people will be shifted from 16 places in Ghotki and Ubauro.
Arrangements have been completed to establish 41 relief camps in Ghotki and Ubauro, out of which 5 relief camps have been established. He said that 2416 victims were provided treatment facilities in 24 hours in 13 medical camps established on protective embankments. 4452 cattle were treated at 3 livestock camps while 20,046 cattle were vaccinated. Minister of Agriculture and Focal Person Left Bank further said that all teams including Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani and Focal Person of Flood Emergency Operation Ghotki Majid Hameed Sheikh are visiting Qadir pur Shank Bund and other areas on a daily basis. Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Mahar said that 3 modern mobile hospitals provided by the Rehabilitation Department are functioning at Qadir pur High School for the victims, while a mobile hospital of PPHI is also available at Qadir pur Shank Bund where facilities for diagnosing various diseases are being provided. He said that repair work is underway at sensitive locations of Qadir pur Shank Dam, the Sindh Government has completed all preparations in Ghotki district, all relevant departments are on alert and machinery is ready.
The Agriculture Minister said that Rangers and police are patrolling the dams of the Indus River to maintain law and order, while security arrangements have also been made at the established camps,
