KARACHI, 1 Sep 2025 : The lifeless body of a 15-year-old boy was discovered at a school in Sultan Abad, while two separate encounters between police and suspected robbers resulted in three arrests and two injuries in Karachi on Friday.
The body of Abu Bakar, son of Dildar, was found at the Sultan Abad Habib Public School. Authorities transported the remains to a hospital, and the cause of death is pending a postmortem examination. A thorough investigation into the incident is currently in progress by Docks police in District Keemari.
In Landhi, near the 89 Driving License Branch, an exchange of gunfire between law enforcement officers and alleged robbers led to the apprehension of one suspect, identified as Saeed, who sustained injuries. His accomplice managed to escape. Police seized a pistol and ammunition from the scene, and the injured suspect was taken to a hospital. Landhi police in District Malir are investigating further.
Another shootout unfolded in Orangi Town Sector 11.5, Shamsi Colony, where police engaged with two suspected robbers. Both suspects, Umair, alias Saim, son of Asghar Ali, and Habib, alias Qari, son of Mohammad Muqeem, were apprehended with injuries. Police retrieved two pistols, ammunition, and mobile phones. The injured individuals were transported to a hospital. Pakistan Bazar police in District West are conducting a follow-up investigation.
In a separate incident, a 50-year-old man, Arbela Khan, son of Pathan Khan, was shot and wounded in Manghopir Northern Bypass, allegedly due to a personal dispute. The victim was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH), and Manghopir police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack.
A police constable, Bilal, son of Ahmed Siddiqui, aged 30-32, assigned to the Nazimabad police station as an IT operator, died by suicide at his residence in Nazimabad No. 4. His body was transferred to ASH, and Nazimabad police are investigating.
