Sukkur, July 31, 2025 (SPECIAL REPORT): Sukkur Division Commissioner Abid Hussain Qureshi, along with Deputy Commissioner Sukkur Dr. MB Dharijo and Assistant Commissioner Sukkur City Sabha Phalak Rao, visited the Sukkur Municipal Stadium to review the arrangements for the Independence Day celebrations.
Officers of Municipal Corporation Sukkur and other relevant departments were also present on the occasion. The focus of the inspection was on preparations for the large public gatherings scheduled for August 10 and the Independence Day celebrations on August 14.
Commissioner Qureshi stressed the importance of cleanliness within the venue and throughout Sukkur. He issued directives regarding lighting, seating arrangements, audio equipment, the main stage, and other necessary arrangements for the occasion.
Mentioning the importance of Independence Day celebrations, he highlighted their role in promoting national spirit among the residents of Sukkur and surrounding areas. Renowned artists, singers, and cultural groups will participate in the events.
The Commissioner directed the district administration, Municipal Corporation Sukkur, and relevant agencies to complete the arrangements for the Independence Day programs as soon as possible.
